Everything Niara is being built to do.

Niara's extended MVP brings cycle tracking, an AI companion, nutrition tools, movement guidance and reflection into one personal experience. Everything on this page is planned functionality in development. Today, the only live part of Niara is this website and its waitlist.

Menstrual cycle tracking & phase insights

What it's for

Understanding your menstrual cycle over time, so that changes in energy, mood or appetite stop feeling random. Niara will let you log periods and, during onboarding, optionally add previous cycles so insights can start sooner.

What you'll get

  • Your personal cycle history, with estimated dates for upcoming periods and phases.
  • Awareness of where you are across the menstrual, follicular, ovulatory and luteal phases, with short explanations of what each one involves.
  • Optional notes on mood, energy and symptoms, so you can see how they line up with your cycle.
  • Phase-aware lifestyle and movement ideas that you're free to take or leave.

Cycle predictions are estimates. They become more personal as you log, but bodies vary and so do individual cycles. Niara's predictions are not contraception and shouldn't be used to prevent or plan a pregnancy. Read our guide to the four phases.

A personalised wellness dashboard

What it's for

Seeing what matters today at a glance, without opening five different apps. The dashboard is designed to be calm and quick to read: one view that connects your cycle with the rest of your day.

What you'll get

  • Your current cycle phase and a short, relevant insight.
  • A quick daily mood and energy check-in.
  • Personalised suggestions for food, movement and recovery.
  • Journaling and reflection prompts, gentle reminders and habit nudges you control.
  • Encouraging affirmations and bite-sized educational notes.

These pieces are meant to work together. A low-energy check-in on a late-luteal day might bring a gentler workout idea, a warming meal suggestion and a shorter journaling prompt, instead of the same plan as every other day.

Niara, your AI wellness companion

What it's for

Having someone to think things through with. Niara's AI companion is a supportive, conversational guide. You'll be able to ask wellness questions, reflect on routines and get suggestions based on the information you choose to share.

What you'll get

  • Private conversations by text, with a planned option to talk by voice.
  • Answers that take your cycle phase, goals and recent check-ins into account.
  • A warm, non-judgemental tone. No lectures, no shame, no fear-based nudges.

The companion supports everyday wellbeing. It is not a doctor, therapist or emergency service, and it can make mistakes. For medical questions, please see a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.

AI nutrition scanner

What it's for

Understanding a meal without weighing every ingredient. Take a photo of your plate and Niara is designed to help you see what's on it, roughly what it provides, and how it fits your goals.

What you'll get

  • Likely food items identified from the photo, which you can correct.
  • Estimated nutritional information, such as energy, protein, carbohydrates, fats and fibre.
  • A simple look at meal composition, with educational suggestions where helpful.
  • Support for the nutrition goals you set yourself.

Image-based nutrition values are estimates, not laboratory measurements. Portion sizes, recipes and hidden ingredients such as oil and ghee are hard to see in a photo, and not every dish, including many regional Indian dishes, will be recognised accurately. You'll always be able to edit what Niara detects.

Nutrition Buddy & food insights

What it's for

Making nutrition information easier to understand and act on. The Nutrition Buddy is a chat-based guide, with a planned voice option, for food questions big and small.

What you'll get

  • Goal-aware suggestions: more protein at breakfast, an iron-rich swap, a lighter dinner idea.
  • Plain-language explanations of labels, portions and meal balance.
  • Practical ideas built around food you already eat, not imported diet plans.
  • Planned educational estimates of how a meal's make-up (for example, fibre and refined carbohydrates) may affect blood-sugar response.

Any blood-sugar insight in Niara is an educational estimate based on food composition. Niara cannot measure your blood glucose, from a photo or otherwise, and it isn't a tool for managing diabetes or any other condition.

Phase-aware workouts & recovery

What it's for

Moving in a way that feels right today. Niara aims to suggest movement informed by your cycle-related patterns, your preferences and the energy you report, while leaving you firmly in charge.

What you'll get

  • Strength-training sessions for days you feel strong.
  • Gentle movement, walks, mobility and stretching for lower-energy days.
  • Recovery and rest days treated as part of the plan, not a failure.
  • Suggestions that adjust to your comfort, energy and schedule.

Research on cycle phase and exercise performance is still limited. A 2020 meta-analysis found, at most, a trivial average effect and recommended a personalised approach. That's why Niara follows your reported energy and comfort, not a fixed rule that every woman should train differently in each phase.

Nutrition & meal guidance

What it's for

Eating well in a way that's flexible, affordable and sustainable. Niara is designed to offer practical food suggestions and educational guidance that fit everyday routines and personal goals.

What you'll get

  • Simple meal and snack ideas that work with home cooking, hostel food and busy workdays.
  • Gentle prompts around hydration, protein, fibre and regular meals.
  • Ideas that can shift with your appetite and energy across the month.

No restrictive diets, no "good" or "bad" foods, and no promises to "balance your hormones." If you have a medical condition or specific dietary needs, a doctor or registered dietitian is the right person to guide you.

Meditation, journaling & emotional wellbeing

What it's for

Making space for reflection and calm. These tools support everyday self-reflection and relaxation, at your own pace.

What you'll get

  • Guided meditation recordings for winding down, focusing or getting to sleep.
  • A private journal with optional gratitude and reflection prompts.
  • Quick mood check-ins that help you notice emotional patterns over time.
  • Supportive reminders and daily affirmations, only if you want them.

These features support wellbeing. They are not a treatment for mental-health conditions. If you're struggling, please reach out to a mental-health professional or someone you trust.

Personalisation & onboarding

What it's for

An experience that feels like yours from the first day. Niara personalises using only the information you choose to provide, such as preferences, wellness goals and cycle details.

What you'll get

  • A short, friendly onboarding. Every question beyond the essentials is optional.
  • Planned sign-in options: Google, Apple, Microsoft, phone OTP and email.
  • Clear controls over what you share, and the ability to change your mind.

A wider women's wellness ecosystem

Longer term, we'd like Niara to grow into a broader ecosystem for women's wellbeing. These ideas are not part of the extended MVP and haven't been committed to. They're shared so you know the direction we're thinking in, and we'd love to hear what you'd want most. Write to us at support@myniara.com.
